St. Lucia

St. Lucia
Just 17 more days until we leave for St. Lucia to get married. I must say that I am getting a little nervous. Not so much nervous about the wedding - I am really excited about getting married to my wife-to-be and the fact we are doing a destination wedding and writing our own vows (which was my idea "for the record"). I am so blessed to have met her and for everyting that has followed since that first date. But nervous because I will become a Dad to another little boy. Our family will immediatly become a family of 4 from 2. WOW, that's a lot of groceries. I will have a "step" son and she will have a "step" son. That sounds so weird. So, I don't understand the whole wording of "step". If we are out and someone says is that your son - am I suppose to correct that? I really don't plan to correct that. And what about my son - does he correct people and say "no, thats not my brother that's my "step" brother. He's only 4 so I think just telling him that after we get married Adam will become his brother is shock enough. Thankfully, her little boy and my little boy get along great - except her son doesnt quite understand video games yet - but we are trying to get him caught up.

Tubing at Wintergreen

Tubing
Okay, I grew up in Va Beach - so even though we got just as much snow as Richmond, we don't have any hills. So, I have never actually been sleding. And even when I moved to Richmond I was always working when my friends went to Forest Hill park or Va Country Club for some sleding. Thankfully, the folks over at Wintergreen have this now. So if you missed out on sleding as a kid -- you have to go tubing. It really makes you feel like a kid again. It was awesome.
